A stone's throw from the Golden Gate Bridge, a retail gem has emerged in the tony community of Mill Valley. Carolina Boutique, a women's retailer on Throckmorton Avenue, is akin to walking into any woman's dream closet. Luckily for our customer this closet comes furnished with an unmatched personalized shopping experience and a staff of friendly and honest professional stylists, handpicked by its owner, Carolina Loiacono.
Everything in the shop is soft and luxurious, longing to be touched. From billowy, soft Velvet T's to delicious and cozy Vince Cocoon sweaters, the boutique lives up to its owner's mission statement; "Surround yourself with everything beautiful. Look great even when you're not trying. Clothing that inspires with easy to wear pieces for creating your unique look."
In November of 2012, Carolina opened her second shop located inside of Novato’s Pacheco Plaza bringing Novato lines that are unique to Northern Marin’s clientele. With its simplicity and clean lines, the store embodies a crisp yet, welcoming vibe. Immediately upon entering, customers are greeted by the fresh scent of a Leila Lou candle burning, a vintage Louis Vuitton suitcase (passed down from Carolina’s father-in-law), and thoughtfully placed furniture to display the current fashions.
The Novato boutique offers a multitude of unique home goods and accessories such as bright and colorful votives, delicate champagne flutes and tumblers, and mercury glass candelabras to name a few. The racks of carefully merchandised clothing creates fluid inspiration- combined with the assistance of knowledgeable staff, customers are sure to achieve the personalized shopping experience Carolina Boutique strives to maintain.
Carolina, a busy mom of two young children and wife of professional musician Greg Loiacono of the Bay Area's own Mother Hips, is acutely attuned to the demanding schedule of juggling family and career. She is always a wife and mother first. Her other great love has always been her love of fashion.
Carolina has a unique ability to capture trend and comfort in one cohesive collection. She and her staff create looks and styles that leave their clients feeling effortlessly "put-together", living up to the shop's "Bird of Paradise" logo symbolizing beauty and grace.
